Privacy Policy
Offline Invoice Maker is engineered with an offline-first architecture. We do not operate collection servers, we do not require account logins, and your business records never leave your physical device.
100% On-Device. Zero Cloud Telemetry. No User Accounts.
Your invoices, estimates, client contacts, line items, business logos, job-site photos, and SQLite backups are stored strictly on your physical device. We do not operate tracking or synchronization servers for the App, we do not create user accounts, and we never collect, transmit, or sell your business data.
1. Data We (The Developer) Collect
None. We do not collect, upload, or have access to any personal, financial, or business data you enter into the App. Everything resides within the on-device encrypted SQLite database until you explicitly choose to export, share, or delete it.
2. On-Device Data Storage
The App stores the following items strictly in your device storage:
- Invoice and estimate records (client names, line items, taxes, totals, client signatures)
- Client directory entries, including any records you optionally import from device contacts
- Item catalog, business profile, company logos, and attached job-site photos
- App settings, default notes, tax presets, and Pro entitlement cache
Deleting data within the App permanently removes it from the local database. Uninstalling the App removes all local data (subject to OS operating system behavior).
3. Device Permissions (Optional & User-Granted)
The App requests permissions only when you trigger a specific action. All permissions are optional:

Denying a permission only disables that specific feature. The App contains zero third-party ads and zero third-party analytics trackers.
4. Exports, Backups, and Sharing
Database backups (.json), spreadsheets (.csv), and PDF invoices are generated only at your explicit request and dispatched solely to destinations you pick (such as local file folders, AirDrop, email, or messaging apps via your device's native share sheet). We never intercept, view, or retain these files.
5. Optional Live Currency Rates
Multi-currency calculations operate 100% offline using manually configured exchange rates by default. Only if you explicitly enable the "Use live rates" toggle does the App fetch current exchange rates over HTTPS from open.er-api.com. Only the standard 3-letter currency code is queried. You can switch back to offline manual rates at any time.
6. In-App Purchases (Pro Unlocks)
Pro upgrades and lifetime licenses are fulfilled directly through the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), with entitlement status managed through the RevenueCat SDK. Transaction processing (payment collection, subscription renewal, family sharing, restore) is handled exclusively by Apple and Google under their respective privacy policies:

We never receive, process, or store your credit card details or financial billing information.
7. Store Ratings Prompt
The App may display the standard operating system rating dialogue (in_app_review). This flow is executed entirely by Apple or Google; we receive no personal identity or rating metadata from it.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is a professional commercial utility intended for independent businesses and contractors, and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. Because all operational data stays local to the device, we knowingly collect no data from children.
9. Your Rights and Data Sovereignty
Because your records are never sent to external servers, you exercise immediate control directly on your device:
- Access / Review: Open the App — all clients, invoices, items, and settings are readily accessible.
- Deletion: Delete individual documents within the App, or uninstall the App to erase all local data.
- Data Portability: Export a full unencrypted JSON backup or CSV summary anytime from Settings.
- Revoke Permissions: Toggle camera, photo library, or contact permissions in your device's Settings at will.

10. Data Retention and Security
We retain zero business data server-side. Your on-device database is protected by your operating system's hardware-level security sandbox and hardware encryption. To protect your business continuity, we recommend keeping regular JSON backups in a secure secondary location.
